This week I read Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer. This is an extremely good book. It is about the author, Jon Krakauer, climbing Mount Everest. I liked this book because it is very exciting and the author makes the reader feel like they are in the book. The book is enticingly lifelike and also interesting. The author used a lot of detail, so the reader knows just what is going on. I like how Krakauer uses some history in the book. He`ll say that something in the past happened on Everest, and then will give some back round. There are so many unexpected events so the reader just has to keep reading and find out what happens next. Krakauer explains how hard it was to go through. One of his best friends on the trip dies, and he is constantly sick. The book makes you feels like you are on top of the mountain with all of the details provided. The book is very moving. It shows the reader that the are a lot of hard times and situations, but to just keep going and to never give up. If Jon Krakauer would have given up on Everest, he would of died. So overall I loved the book and Jon Krakauer is an amazing author.
I recommend this book to everyone, I also recommend Into The Wild also by Jon Krakauer. I am uncertain how many books I have read due to the misplacement of my journal. I hope that it will show up soon.
